About Mi Casa Restaurant

A PIECE OF THE CARIBBEAN IN A CORNER OF UTICA🏝

Located at 1315 Genesee St, Utica, NY 13501, Mi Casa Restaurant operates as a dominican restaurant serving Utica in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

This group holds listings that did not fit cleanly into a food or drink category, mostly businesses that were pulled in alongside a restaurant in the same shopping plaza or that combine several kinds of service, such as a market with an attached clinic or a strip-mall unit that also does phone repair or tax preparation. The details here come from the public listing rather than a curated food write-up, so treat the category label loosely and check the business's own hours and services before visiting. Some of these are legitimate neighbors of the food businesses on this site, such as a nail salon or a laundromat in the same strip mall, while others are simply miscategorized on the source data and worth a quick call to confirm what they actually offer.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 am–9 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (315) 864-3057. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Customers rate it 4.4 out of 5 on Google across 409 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded dominican restaurant in Utica.

Utica is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Utica peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Food is alright, the attitude and bugs make it a 1 star for sure. Make sure to order your food from the back because they just put more food on top of the old dried out food that’s been left out all day in the front and mix it up.

I ordered from Mi Casa through DoorDash, and I was genuinely impressed. Everything was absolutely fantastic! We ordered the Chaufa Mixo (Chinese Style Rice), Pechuga Del Valle (chicken stuffed with sweet plantains), Campo Y Monte, and Pastelitos, and every dish was delicious. The flavors were outstanding, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were very generous. For dessert, I had the flan, and it was the perfect ending to an amazing mealβ€”rich, creamy, and absolutely delicious. Another thing that stood out was the service. Mi Casa does their own deliveries, and the food arrived quickly, still hot, and very well packaged. I highly recommend giving Mi Casa a try. Between the excellent food, generous portions, and fast delivery, you won't be disappointed!

I've been here multiple times, and, every time, the food is delicious! Completely obsessed with their chicken stuffed fried plantain appetizers. Friendly service, great atmosphere.

Ho-LEE sheeeeeeet. This spot is the real deal. I guarantee you have driven by this place more than once but you never went it. Food is unbelievably authentic, flavorful, and original. Let me be clear, there are no chips and salsa.....this is not Mexican - it's Dominican. Everything was perfect.

For a restaurant labeled as Caribbean, they definitely had a decent array of flavors highlighting multiple countries in the Caribbean. The front of house, Luisa, She was very sweet and accommodating. It was our first time in any Caribbean restaurant, and she took her time to help us with selections, and gave us a little overview of what the food was like that they were serving, primarily Dominican, versus what it would be like if it were Puerto Rican varietals. Everything was wonderfully fresh and delicious, everything was served with care and love, you could tell the Chef puts a lot of love in the food! We were passing through, but we will be back because of this. Wonderful experience! I had the eggplant dish, mofongo, passion fruit juice, and shared a serving of the tres leches cake! My husband had fried plantains, a chicken dish stuffed with yuca, and soursop. While we were here, it was not very busy with people seated and being served, but lots of takeout. It's not usual that we would have had such an opportunity to and chat with the staff, we were very lucky in our timing! It's evident that this is a cornerstone restaurant for the community!
